How can we inspire kindness in our children?

I wrote K Is for Kindness, an ABC book filled with animals doing various acts of kindness. (The illustrations were created by my sister!)

K Is for Kindness came about as a reaction to the problems in society and realizing that maybe the world would look different if there were more kindness. I hope that young readers will be inspired to be kind just because it’s fun and feels good.

This book was published by Penguin Random House and selected by Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library which distributed free copies to over a million children through non-profit organizations across the US and Canada.

I also partnered with and organization called ThinkGive which offers teaching materials to schools to promote mental wellbeing, including kindness. I developed a curriculum to accompany the book as well as worksheets for children to explore what kindness can look like.

Next year we are releasing the sequel, G Is for Gratitude!
